Not FDA-Approved (Research Only)Growth Hormone

Hexarelin

Also known as: Examorelin

The most potent growth hormone releasing peptide, producing the highest peak GH response of any GHRP. Also studied for cardiac protection and neuroprotection. However, it raises cortisol and prolactin more than other options and the body develops tolerance with continued use.

How it works

Hexarelin is a synthetic ghrelin analog that produces the strongest acute GH spike of any peptide in its class, boosting GH levels 100-140% above baseline. Beyond the ghrelin receptor, it also activates CD36 receptors in fat tissue and heart muscle, which may explain its unique effects on lipid metabolism and cardiac function that go beyond just raising GH.

Safety notes

  • Not FDA-approved for any medical use
  • Tolerance builds quickly. Most researchers use it in short-term protocols only
  • Raises cortisol and prolactin significantly more than ipamorelin or GHRP-2
  • Cardiac receptor activation means it should be used with particular caution in people with heart conditions
  • Banned by WADA for athletic competition
  • Limited to research settings. Not commonly prescribed clinically
